So yeah, don't worry about the quality, as this guitar is built at least as good as my 1986 Les Paul Custom and my 2020 Music Man Albert Lee. It's become my main guitar since, and I have to purposefully play my other guitars because I just reflexively reach for the Aries. I think the coating on the Elixir strings just deadens the sound, to my ears, at least. But then I changed the strings to my regular D'Addario XL's, and it was the sound I was looking for all along. I was even wondering if I was going to need to swap them out. The coating on those made me think the pickups were crap at first. The only thing I didn't like was the Elixir strings. All made with Alnico II magnets, so low output, and very vintage sound. I went with a Beryllium humbucker and two of the new Mark's Single Coils. It is really comfortable for my arm, more than my Strat, even. The Aries body has a rather pronounced bevel that runs from the strap post on the bottom up to the tip of the top horn, and there is a belly cut on the other side. My guitar's neck is thicker than my Strat, and not quite as thick as my LEs Paul. I asked for a thicker neck profile because I'd heard their standard neck carve was pretty thin. The neck is finished with tung oil and feels great to play. I think we all can agree that Kiesel make awesome looking guitars (and some hideous looking guitars, depending on what the customer asks for.) And mine definitely delivered. Model: Omni Strings: 6 Frets: 24 Construction type: chambered Neck joint: set neck Body finish: oil and wax polish Neck finish: oil and wax polish Fretboard. And since I wanted a guitar that existed because I wanted it built, and built to look and sound like I wanted, I went ahead and took the chance. I also wanted it to have a vintage sound, and Kiesel weren't necessarily known for that, but much more for metal. I kind of took a chance on mine because my main guitar was an American Stratocaster, and I wanted the Kiesel to be a super Strat with an HSS configuration.
